Spectra Smart Resin is a nanohybrid composite resin from Dentsply Sirona that has a soft texture and low stickiness to offer easy handling. Its use is recommended as a direct restorative material for anterior and posterior teeth, as well as for the manufacture of indirect restorations such as inlays and onlays.
Its exclusive formula combines resins and fillers with
nanotechnology to provide excellent properties, such as: intermediate opacity, high enamel translucency and a refractive index that, combined with great polishing and gloss capacity, offer an excellent aesthetic result.

Guidelines for using Dentsply Sirona Spectra Smart Resin
To use it, the tooth structure must first be pretreated through acid conditioning, washing and drying the remaining structure, followed by the application of an appropriate adhesive system.
In the case of using a self-etching adhesive, the previous acid etching step is dispensed with.
After the previous treatment, the insertion of the increments begins, followed by photoactivation and polishing.
Photoactivate each increment of resin individually. Make sure that the selected photoactivator device emits light at a wavelength of 470nm and with a minimum intensity of 500mW/cm2 for 20 seconds. For photoactivation of darker colors (A3.5 and A4), the activation time must be extended by an additional twenty seconds.
